LEAD AND FOLLOW in JULY / LADIES STYLING in AUGUST - SUMMER WORKSHOPS!
Starting in July on Saturday afternoons, the Salsa with Juan Summer Workshops will commence - to help you reach your dancing goals faster! Take advantage of this series to enhance what you already know and give you a unique insight into what makes a great Leader or Follower and what makes the ladies look flawless and sexy on the dance floor. Your dancing will improve and you will gain confidence and style.

This Month's THEME for Pattern Classes
This month's THEME for our Bridging through Patterns classes (Bridging the Salsa Dance Divide, Salsa Level 2 and Salsa Level 2.5 and Intermediate Bachata) is
PATTERNS !
At Salsa with Juan our pattern classes usually have one pattern that we work on all month, to ensure you will learn all the technique AND be able to remember it! This month we will demonstrate a new pattern each Week and on the 4th Week put them all together. For Bridging class you will get 2 8's (8 counts) of new material on weeks 1-3, plus 2 8's you already know. For Level 2, Intermediate Salsa you will get 3 8's on Weeks 1-3, and Level 2.5, 4 8's on Weeks 1-3. Intermediate Bachata will vary from 2-4 8's on Weeks 1-3. In all classes on Week 4 we will put it all together and practice all we know. Juan and Ruth will give you tips on how to remember patterns.

About our Salsa and Bachata Classes
We Love to Salsa Dance! How about you?
Salsa Dancing is HOT! Known for its smooth moves and set to vibrant and energetic Latin music, Salsa dancing remains very popular here in the Bay Area! If you want to learn how to Salsa dance, or are looking for classes in the East Bay, check out our class schedule where you can find Beginner through Performance level classes and our Specialty Workshops as well. We also offer sensuous and fun Bachata classes which is now a standard at the Latin clubs. Our classes are taught in a great space at Linden Street Dance Studio on the edge of Jack London Square area. No Partner Required! Classes are ongoing and we start a new series every month. Drop-ins are welcome any time!
Our Beginning to Pre-Advanced Salsa dance classes are taught as progressive month-long series that meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You will learn to dance the basics in one hour! Every week, we briefly review what we’ve covered and this repetition will support your learning & enhance your understanding of basic technique and rhythm. You will learn foundation steps which develop into mini-patterns which become the building blocks for longer, more intricate patterns. In Level 2 and 2.5 (Intermediate and Pre-Advanced) we begin a new choreographed pattern each month that will challenge you to improve your technique, increase your understanding of how to put moves together and add some style- all in a fun and comfortable setting with other friendly Salsa dancers! But don't worry, you can always drop in at any time if you want to try it out first. Our Bachata classes are held on Wednesdays at 7pm for Beginners and 8pm for Intermediates. Challenge yourself and try this popular and sensual dance - it's easy to get started! Bachata classes are also progressive and will explore different styles such as Dominican, Traditional and Moderna. Guest instructors will teach periodically.

Let us know at the front desk if this is your first time visiting Salsa with Juan and your first class will be FREE! If you decide to stay with us for the rest of the month we will make sure you get a great deal on remaining classes.
4th Friday Night Social
Our popular monthly Salsa and Bachata Social happens every 4th Friday of the month - just like old times! There is a Beginner Salsa or Bachata lesson at 8 pm taught by our SWJ Instructors OR guest instructors. DANCING from 9pm until 1am! We offer tasty snacks, refreshments, performances, great danceable music, cool ambiance and more! The cost is only $10 at door, $12 online, unless specified otherwise. Children 12 and under enter FREE with guardian!
Our socials have gained a reputation for being a fun and supportive atmosphere where everyone gets to dance. Come on out, practice all you know, meet new dancers and DANCE! DANCE HOSTS AND HOSTESSES will keep you on the floor all night long - so don't be shy - get your DANCE ON!
Held at the beautiful LINDEN STREET DANCE STUDIO in Jack London Square Gateway area. This studio is large and has 2 rooms for dancing, a student lounge, deluxe bathrooms with showers, and a friendly ambiance.

All Access Passes
The All Access Pass - The Salsa with Juan AA Pass allows you to participate in up to 36 hours in a month of our Beginner through Advanced classes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for only $100-$120 a month. To get this pricing, please pay in class! The All Access Pass gives you the most value and hours with the best Salsa instruction in the entire Bay Area! BACHATA WEDNESDAYS ARE INCLUDED!
AA PASS AQUA - Students have access to Beginner Track classes: Level 1, 1.5 and Bridging as well as both Bachata classes.
AA PASS RED - Students have access to Intermediate Track and all Salsa with Juan classes. This includes Level 2, 2.5 and Bridging and both Bachata classes. Feel free to explore all the Levels to get practice and a challenge!
Note: There are dance pre-requisites to remain in higher level classes in order to create stability for more experienced students. Ask your instructor for more details.
